Far from LA, but still practising law, Harry Hamlin gets involved with his chief suspect's wife in this Australian spin on Jagged Edge. Trapped in a web of dangerous clichés, dirty Harry battles grimly through a labyrinth of red herrings to find out what most of us could have told him by the second reel. Slickly made, the adult thriller is far too bitty to grip. Nudity, strong language and adult situations do not a classic legal thriller make without a plot that can stand a modicum of scrutiny.
