To the best of our knowledge, the young David Copperfield was never press-ganged into working in a cheese factory. Nor did he fall foul of the accursed Cheese Police. But then the original David Copperfield was not a kitten, so who are we to quibble at the liberties taken in this animated made-for-American TV version of the Dickens classic. For young children, it's squeaky-clean.
