More substantial roles followed, particularly as a youth in Gun Crazy but it was a TV commercial for Subaru which landed him decent parts.

Small roles followed in Twister and Going All The Way before he was cast in Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan.

Subsequent movies included Ravenous, The Florentine, The Million Dollar Hotel and The Laramie Project.

He can be seen opposite Tilda Swinton in Teknolust, bleak sex comedy Secretary and the paranoid crew member in Steven Soderbergh's Solaris.

Davies can next been seen opposite Nicole Kidman in Lars Von Trier's Dogville.
