Casey Affleck

The younger brother of actor-writer Ben Affleck won critical acclaim for his portrayal of killer Robert Ford in The Assassination of Jesse James. Casey had previously won attention playing the disaffected youth who joins Joaquin Phoenix in murdering Matt Dillon, in To Die For.
The son of a school teacher and a drug counsellor, Casey studied at George Washington University and later transferred to Columbia University in New York City where he majored in Physics, Astronomy, and Western Philosophy. He began his careern on TV playing Kevin Bacon's half-brother in Lemon Sky, and was the teenaged Bobby Kennedy in the ABC miniseries, The Kennedys of Massachusetts.
Casey appeared in Race the Sun, followed by Floating and Chasing Amy, which starred his older brother.
In 1997, he was featured as a school friend to Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in the double Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting.
Hi first lead role was in the black comedy Drowning Mona, which he followed with thriller Soul Survivors, and an appearance in the remake of Ocean's Eleven.
In 2002, Casey took to the London stage in a highly successful production of Kenneth Lonergan's play, This Is Our Youth, appearing opposite Matt Damon and Summer Phoenix.
In 2002, he starred in director Gus Van Sant's American art house movie Gerry opposite Matt Damon.
Subsequent appearances included Ocean's 12 and the comedy drama The Last Kiss alongside Zach Braff.
In 2007, he won plaudits for the role of Robert Ford, the infamous assassin of Jesse James (played by Brad Pitt).
