A potent dose of American nostalgia from playwright Arthur Miller that focuses on the Great Depression and its effect on various families. Miller weaves a pattern of the acts of faith, hope and charity that carried families through their darkest hours. No big stars in the cast, but a lot of well-known names including Kelly Preston (John Travolta's real-life wife) who's especially touching as a girl whose life slides into tragedy after her brother commits suicide.
