There's not a lot of action in this rather intense prison drama about the relationship that develops between Death Row prisoner Mimi Rogers and guard Billy Zane. She's convicted of killing her husband. This is a 'life flashing before you' drama, with us seeing Rogers' life and what led to the fatal deed. Zane's prison guard is fascinated by his prisoner and an odd relationship develops. Potentially an interesting idea, but this film is rather static. Performances are good, though, if somewhat earnest.
