Jonathan Hensleigh
Born: USA
The former Wall Street corporate lawyer made his feature debut with the revenge thriller The Punisher, starring Thomas Jane.
A veteran screenwriter, Hensleigh built up a reputation after working on Armageddon, Die Hard With A Vengeance and The Rock.
He kicked off his career writing episodes of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles for George Lucas before dafting Die Hard from his original script Simon Says.
Next up was Jumanji, starring Robin Williams, but his script for The Saint ended up being totally rewritten.
After this setback, he enjoyed a fruitful relalationship with producer Jerry Bruckheimer with whom he worked uncredited on The Rock, Con Air and Gone in 60 Seconds.
He was due to make his directorial debut with The Hulk (Ang Lee eventually got the gig) but went on to make The Punisher.
