This dull horror effort, based on several Edgar Allan Poe stories, was filmed in South Africa. The action takes place in a school for wayward girls, which sets up some dubious shower scene opportunites for former porn director Gerard Kikoine. Robert Vaughn stars as the evil director of the school who preys on the young women. The story is narrated by Janet (well played by Karen Witter), a teacher suffering from hallucinations. Another disappointment is that this was John Carradine's last film, and he only appears for a few moments. Not good, but all right if you want some more late-night gore.
