Something of a family movie this; co-produced by Kent Bateman, it stars two of his offspring, Justine and Jason, playing, yes, sister and brother. The writers were something of an item, too, being husband-and-wife team Steven and J. Miyoko Hensley. The family feel-good factor doesn't extend to the story though, as a young blind girl (Justine) attempts to escape the clutches of her overbearing parents . As you'd expect, there's a true-life angle, the film being inspired by the lives of Cheryl McMannis and Joe Nasser, both of whom have small roles here. Lightweight but passable entertainment; one to watch with mother, perhaps.
