The Swan Princess

Charming animated musical adventure about a princess who is turned into a swan by the jealous and power-crazed magician Lord Rothbart. The amusing insertion of voices by Jack Palance and John Cleese, as Jean-Bob the French frog who is best friends with a turtle, does much to lift this cartoon fairytale.

Swan Princess

Based on Swan Lake, two sequels followed Princess Odette's (Nicastro) tale of love as she falls for a prince who was her childhood sweetheart and he for her.

But evil magician Lord Rothbart (Palance) wants the princess for himself so he turns her into a swan out of spite.

Incidentally, Jack Palance's character does one-arm push-ups while singing - something he himself did while accepting his Oscar for City Slickers.
