Children's animated fantasy about a friendly Troll called Stanley who is banished from Troll Land by the nasty Gnorga for being too sweet. He is sent to live in horrific New York in the vain hope that the grim city will turn him into a hideous, offensive, insulting, life-hating scumbag (just like the rest of the city's populous! ). But although Stanley lands in Central Park, he just grows flowers and makes friends with two lonely kids. Gnorga has failed and she sets out to scupper Stanley's kindly ways for good. Although why Gnorga didn't just buy Stanley a season ticket and make him commute to London on the trains everyday is a mystery. for that would have cured his sweetness in no time at all. Otherwise this is enjoyable enough viewing for little 'uns.
