A colourful sci-fi caper with the cheerful, cheap feel of the old Batman series on TV. Based on a story from Marvel Comics' The X Men, it sees a band of outlawed teenage mutants fighting a crazed, dream-invading scientist (cackling Matt Frewer of Max Headroom fame). Britain's silkily glamorous Finola Hughes plays the team's mutant trainer. Even though its seams are showing, this is still good, camp, low-budget fun, and director Jack Sholder certainly bowls it along.
