Zany comedian Pauly Shore had several shots at movie stardom in the Nineties, but the public just didn't take to his brand of frantic mugging, and he had to watch enviously as Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler ran off with the box-office takings. Here's his biggest success (a reasonable $17 million-taker in the US) as the jobless joker who tries to prolong his jury service when he finds the jurors are being put up at a luxury hotel. Fairly tiresome, though, and full of dated references to the OJ Simpson trial. Another would-be comic star, Andrew Dice Clay, can be glimpsed in a brief role.
