You've got to feel sorry for Jason Priestley: he's got fame, looks, talent and popularity, but he can't get the movie career into gear. Yet here is the former Beverly Hills 90210 star again doing good work in a lively, offbeat and amusing black comedy, as a Mob book-keeper promoted to hit-man but falling for the charms of lovely Kimberly Williams. Boosted by the acting efforts of reliables Robert Loggia, Janeane Garofalo, Peter Riegert, Josh Charles and, in a cameo, Michael J Fox, it's funny, imaginative charming and exciting, though, with its offbeat sense of humour, probably not to all tastes. Written and directed by the supervising producer of The Simpsons, which should give an idea of the tone. Expect some violence and swearing.
