Shot in Morocco, this is a small cut above other recent Biblical epics made for TV, mainly thanks to the performances of Oscar winners Ben Kingsley and Martin Landau as Potiphar and Joseph's father. Strictly Ballroom star Paul Mercurio looks ill at ease in the title role, but Roger Young's meticulous direction helps hold the attention over the long journey.
