This tough drama about a good cop who pretends to turn bad to collar the boss of a crime ring is the opener to a new crime series. Ken (thirtysomething) Olin stars as the good cop Cameron Quinn while Joe Pantoliano plays the baddie. The plot follows a fairly well-trodden path but the production of the film gives it a different feel, making it stand out from the average. You'll either think it's stylishly done and like it, or dismiss it as pretentious. Performances are solid, though, even if this thriller's pacing is a little haphazard.
