Poor Angela Lansbury. She's an unappreciated Mrs Claus, doing a bit of scouting for her husband, trying to find him a better route for Christmas Eve, 1910, but a high wind blows her sleigh into New York where she crash-lands. Horrors! Reindeer loose in the Big Apple! Well, no. This is actually an enjoyably whimsical TV musical. In between songs, Mrs Claus - acting undercover - manages to put the world (well, some parts of it) to rights, as she fights for justice on behalf of children and women. Great stuff. We don't know whether anyone got any Christmas presents that year though... .
