David R Ellis

The former stuntman is emerging as a talented action director in his own right after helming Final Destination 2 and Cellular.
Ellis began life as a child actor, and made the switch to the stunt world following a successful career as a junior pro surfer.
He made the leap to stunt coordinator in 1978 on Invasion of the Body Snatchers and went on to work on To Live and Die in LA, Rocky, Rambo and Sharkey's Machine.
Coordinating TV and films all over the world brought him up to the position of 2nd Unit Director on Gorky Park.
Ellis made his directorial debut on Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco followed by Final Destination 2.
Bringing over thirty years of experience, Ellis won plaudits as a second unit director on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, The Perfect Storm and The Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions.
Recent directorial work includes the enjoyable thriller Cellular with Kim Basinger and Chris Evans.
