Former Charlie's Angel Farrah Fawcett is unconvincing as a woman of Sioux ancestry trying to go back to her roots. Dalva traces the father of the baby boy she gave up for adoption when she was 15. It turns out that (a) he is her half-brother and (b) he's about to die from cancer. Some years later, she journeys back to the homelands. This leads to two romantic involvements: (a) with Sam (Powers Boothe), who also has a Sioux background, and (b) with Michael (Peter Coyote), a university man researching the Native American heritage. Oh yes, and Rod Steiger is in there too, as Dalva's grandfather. If you manage to avoid confusion, you'll still have a credibility problem with this below-average offering. Fawcett is 1/8 Native American.
