Since then he's appeared in a steady stream of films including Face/Off, A Thousand Acres, Pushing Tin, Anywhere But Here and The Next Best Thing.

A regular on The Drew Carey Show, Lynch also appeared in TV films including Gideon's Crossing and Family Law.

He began his professional career in the the theatre, spending eight years with the Guthrie Theatre Company in Minneapolis.
