Set in the London of 1888, but filmed on location in Melbourne, this Jack the Ripper movie is well done and the eerie atmosphere is perfect. Patrick Bergin stars as an inspector investigating a series of grisly murders of prostitutes in the East End. The more he delves into the mind of the Ripper, the more he comes to suspect Queen Victoria's grandson, Prince Albert Victor (Samuel West). A good supporting cast that includes Michael York helps to make this a fascinating take on the old tale.
