Chubby Chris Farley (who died, aged 33, from a cocaine overdose just a year after making this movie) gets a tailor-made Jerry Lewis-style role as the embarrassingly accident-prone brother of the candidate (slim and slimy Tim Matheson) for the Washington State governorship.
Matheson appoints Farley's Saturday Night Live partner, David Spade, to keep Farley out of mischief Fat chance!
Farley works hard to raise a few chuckles in a simple, crude and basic farce that, while it looks for a decent plot and struggles for belly laughs, at least is relatively painless.
Spade has very little to do - and that's no bad thing.
