In this extremely stylish supernatural chiller, vampires are cruising Manhattan's bars for their prey while fearless old hippy Van Helsing (an on-form Peter Fonda) hunts them down. Top of his most-wanted list is the beautiful Nadja (ideally cast Elina Löwensohn, who really does come from Transylvania), who has seduced Fonda's daughter-in-law. This arty little gem of a film is brilliantly eerie and looks astoundingly beautiful with its startling, grainy black and white cinematography. Give it a chance and it pulls you into its weird and wonderful world.
