Mario Van Peebles plays an android called Solo, considered by his military creators as the near perfect fighting machine. But there's a small problem: he seems to dislike annihilating innocent people. Concerned, Solo's makers want him back for correction. But, sensibly, our mechanical hero dives into the Mexican jungle, where, Samurai-like, he teaches downtrodden Mexican villagers how to defend their territory. The pace may be fast, but that doesn't disguise the film's multitude of faults.
