The South family move across the Atlantic to a new home in Ireland, but find that things are not all pleasant and comfy... They discover after several frightening experiences that the building is haunted by a woman from a previous century, searching for her lost daughter. Despite a brief respite from the hauntings when paranormal investigators are called in, she suddenly pinches the Souths' six-year-old as compensation. During the course of the ensuing terror, Maura South herself (Alexandra Paul) is possessed by evil, which escalates events... We've seen this kind of thing before, alas - and done more creepily than this. The acting is competent but lacks urgency. The 'special effects' are anything but.
