Zucker Brothers completists - David produced and co-wrote this one - might get a few mild yocks from this gross-out spoof of Dangerous Minds-style school stories where an idealistic teacher (here Jon Lovitz) comes to a ghetto high school and makes the difference. The sort of school where they staple the daily supply of condoms to the sex advice handout and where the best excuse for being late is 'the bell rang before I got here', it has a bat-wielding principal (Louise Fletcher) who, like most heads in such films, is clearly up to no good. She would like to get rid of the hapless Lovitz, especially when his unorthodox methods show signs of working. On his side is Fletcher's gorgeous PA (Tia Carrere), who only seems to have one dress to wear, even after she gets it soaked and torn in a fight with a student. There are a few mildly effective bits, but mostly the writers throw in something to offend every ethnic, religious or sexual minority in a desperate bid for laughs.
