Interesting ensemble piece best compared to a French version of 'Friends', where the lives of nine such people are all connected in some way. The film centers around Ada (wonderfully played, and in and her screenwriter boyfriend Paul (Jean-Phillipe Ecoffey). When Ada's boss meets an exciting new designer at work, Lise (Romane Bohringer), he instructs Ada to take her on. She in turn invites Lise to a party where Lise falls in love with Paul. Love triangles within triangles coupled with typical Franco-fits, wine and music follow culminating in an intreging zeitgeist on modern relationships. It will either leave you cold or fascinate but either way it remains lighthearted and is well worth a look if just for the ever improving talents of Bonham Carter.
