Lightweight romantic comedy given a considerable boost by the performances of the three leads - Tony Curtis (in his element), the beautiful Virna Lisi and George C Scott, demonstrating that if you are a good actor then you turn your hand to anything. He does a comic turn here with aplomb. Here's the plot: Curtis and Scott are Korean War Air Force buddies who fall for Lisi's Italian nurse. Curtis makes up a story that Scott has been killed in action and thus wins Lisi's hand in marriage. Years pass and Scott reappears on the scene. Watch the sparks fly! Frothy and friendly fun.
