This gut-wrenching tear-jerker is brilliantly acted by a fine cast. Bessie (Diane Keaton), a spinster dedicated to looking after her parents learns that she is dying from leukaemia. Enter the sister (Meryl Streep) whom she barely knows, towing her delinquent son (Leonardo DiCaprio) who has just burnt their house down. Harrowing stuff.
