Cameron Diaz's burgeoning star career hit a bump with this excruciating failed comedy on the seemingly doomed theme of trying to get rid of a dead body. To be fair, hers is the only halfway decent performance, with Harvey Keitel atrociously over-playing and Craig Sheffer all at sea as the third point in the triangle after Billy Zane (hardly in it) bites the dust in the first few reels of the film, prompting each of the other three to suspect their fellows of bumping him off. Settings are picturesque, but the treatment is leaden in this unlikely and almost unwatchable farrago.
