Donal McCann does a nice job here, starring as an abrasive old Irish farmer who reluctantly offers a home to his late sister's mixed-race son in this solid, articulate, if rather unexciting drama, produced by and co-starring Pierce Brosnan. It's sincere and intelligent, so it's just a pity that there are just no fireworks in the story or the acting, and it's funny to see 007 in such a parochial little outing. Shown to film critics for a cinema release, mysteriously it went straight to Sky instead.
