Patrick Fugit
Born: 27 October 1982
Where: Salt Lake City, Utah
The actor has the dubious claim to fame of growing three inches and hearing his voice break while shooting his debut feature Almost Famous.
He was first spotted by Cameron Crowe in an audition tape and flown to Los Angeles to meet with the writer/director, beating off hundreds of hopefuls for the part.
He had an interest in acting from the age of eleven and attended a theatre group at the University of Utah. A local casting director was in the audience and managed to get him signed with a talent agency.
Before landing the role in Almost Famous Fugit co-starred in the television movie Legion of Fire: Killer Ants.
He's also appeared on three episodes of the hit U.S. series Touched by an Angel, as well as on two episodes of an American TV show called Promised Land.
Recent film work has included the chick flick White Oleander and the role of grungy Frisbee in the drugs movie Spun.
Upcoming projects include the romantic comedy Saved alongside Mandy Moore and Macaulay Culkin.
