A pretty bleak picture of the future is painted here. In 2017, the Greenhouse Effect has started seriously to damage the Earth, with flooding, heatwaves, skin cancer and a general malaise among most of society. Drew (Craig T Nelson) is a poverty-stricken fisherman whose livelihood is destroyed by a hurricane, so he's forced to move north with his family, witnessing the chaos that has overtaken America, while his own family life starts to disintegrate around him on the journey. If this is really what we're all heading for, be very afraid.
