This black-and-white British film is so low-budget that the central character appears beaten up several times before the beating occurs. Following people out of curiosity, he becomes involved with a man who appears to be a thief and draws him into a life of burglary. Quite tedious in its exposition, the film comes alive towards the end when it becomes evident that the man has become a fall guy - although to precisely what purpose is explained only in the final scene. This needed to be more snappily made to grip the attention.
