A shaky romantic drama about Mary, a young woman (Polly Walker) in the early Thirties, who leaves her fiancé and life in rural Ireland, takes up a position as a family governess in Spain and finds new love with her employers' married son (Vincent Perez). Walker and Perez don't share much chemistry, but the story is quite moving and not too sentimental.
