Come the year 2000, with the Cold War long dead, Hollywood was desperate to set up a new nasty villain for the 21st century. Here we get the Far East, once again, cast as the naughty boys, just as they were in those wacky Man From U. N. C. L. E. spin offs during the Sixties. CIA agent Jack Poynt (Antonio Sabato Jr) uncovers a hideous war crime from the Vietnam War and the chief suspect appears to be the current US Defence Secretary, Max Camden (Fred Ward). Investigating further, Agent Poynt finds that Secretary Camden is so anti-Asian that he is currently involved in a plot to instigate a war between the US and China. Sadly, this is nothing new and is really not worthy of the underrated talents of Ward. Still, he has to pay his electricity bills. You can save money on yours by using your 'off' switch.
