A strong cast list doesn't stop this cops v Mafia drama proving a tedious disappointment. For an action film, it should have more action, and as a thriller there should be a few plot twists to keep you guessing. You don't get either here. Mario Van Peebles plays an undercover cop who fails to protect a vital witness and then spends the rest of the film trying to get the guys who wasted him. In the supporting cast are Ben Gazzara, Randy Quaid and Rae Dawn Chong. They don't help much. You've seen it all before. And done better.
