Dean Cain gets into his Superman mode as a daredevil pilot who crashlands on a small Puerto Rican farm, and promptly proceeds to fall for young single mother Talisa Soto. Mild complications arise when her young son, Kristian de la Osa, idolises Cain and wants him as his daddy instead of Soto's fiance, dull landowner Miguel Sandoval. The underrated Cain and Soto look right and give first-rate, involving performances in this sweet, tearjerking romantic drama that really is appealing and entertaining for those in the right emotional frame of mind. The icing on the cake is that the film's as pretty as a picture. A nice surprise.
