Not entirely about someone's sex life, this French film has Paul Dedalus (Mathieu Amalric), on the cusp of the big 'three-O', pondering over some serious life choices: whether to complete his doctorate and become a full professor, and if he should stick with his long-time girlfriend (Emmanuelle Devos) or turn to someone new, namely his girl's best friend. Well, he ponders a lot and only takes a little action and the viewer has to sit through an awful lot of nothing much going on. The fresh cast are impressive in their roles and the script is often witty, but there's not nearly enough meat on this bone.
