Irish whimsy of the blandest kind, distinguished only by the subtle playing of Sean McGinley as a middle-aged bachelor. He's afraid of expressing his feelings for the woman (Niamh Cusack) whose ex-sporting hero husband is, the fool, 'keen for a transfer'. Elsewhere in the story, the men of a Limerick fishing village advertise for American women (who belatedly arrive), but find that happiness is, as in The Wizard of Oz, in their own backyard. Pretty dull, with an unattractive performance by the normally reliable Ian Hart as McGinley's butcher brother.
