A low-budget, low-effort, action-adventure that attempts to cash in on the (dubious) popularity of 'terrors of the deep' thrillers that peaked earlier in the same year with Deep Blue Sea and Lake Placid. This time it's a group of mutant sharks that suddenly gets a taste for human flesh and attacks the local residents of a fishing village on the African coast all apparently for fun. The locals begin to fear that the sharks are possessed, but a marine biologist thinks that they may be the results of genetic experiments performed by a rival scientist. Now there's a surprise!
