Marina Black and Julie Condra give amusing and poignant turns as Sixties small-town girls fed up with their drab jobs, who head for the big city to be Playboy Bunny girls,. in a nicely wry take on this very American institution. Often comic, sometimes sweet and occasionally even clever, the script feels like an insider's view of the cheerfully sexist Sixties icon that was the Bunny. Marilu Henner and Rhea Perlman are other denizens of the club. Why did they drop the witty original US title, A Tail of Two Bunnies?
