Absolutely nothing happens that is even remotely realistic or truthful in this teen hostage drama set in a New York high school where the firing of much-loved history teacher Ken (Judd Nelson) spurs a confrontation between the hot-headed principal (Glynn Turman) and outraged students. There's a total lack of plausibility and it is drearily predictable. Forest Whitaker, as a policeman taken hostage because school conditions are so appalling, has appeared in plenty of rubbish but this tosh rises to the top of the heap.
