Members of a dysfunctional family come to the hospital bed of their father and end up quarrelling about the state of their lives and their hang-ups. The mother (Ellen Burstyn) blames her children for all their problems. But she is in fact the main catalyst of all their problems. A character-driven, emotional drama with flashbacks to the family's separate visits to psychiatrists.
