The 12-year-old Evan Rachel Wood stars in one of her early roles as the young daughter of Meredith Baxter and Tom Amandes, who send her to summer camp, where her new best friend drowns. Then she meets the seemingly friendly next-door neighbour Diana Scarwid, who befriends her, but her behaviour becomes increasingly bizarre, in this solid, well-told, thriller with a creepy atmosphere and good acting from an excellent cast.
