This TV movie was originally a two-part mini-series, which might have been the best way to leave it. It revolves around the real-life case to extradite American alternative lifestyle Dr Ira Einhorn from France, after he fled there when accused of murdering his girlfriend. while Kevin Anderson does dependably solid work as Einhorn, and Naomi Watts is luminous as the girl he allegedly murdered, neither performance is enough to hide the fact that this overlong film only has a major emotional impact if you're American (or possibly a French lawyer).
