And so will you be if you bother to watch this atrociously lame-brained, made-for-cable disaster movie. With a plot stolen from Jaws - nice man (in this case a geologist played by John Corbett from Sex and the City) warns big city (here New Orleans) chiefs that disaster is about to strike them slap-bang in the middle of tourist season (here it's the Mardi Gras). But they choose to ignore said advice, thinking about all those cash dollars rolling in, until - oops - it's too late, and people (floats and all) start disappearing down giant sinkholes. That's sinkhole, not stinkhole. But that's where the comparison with Jaws ends. Nubile teen Brittany Daniel (Dawson's Creek) adds some glamour to the crumbling facades, but it's by the numbers all the way to its sad, sorry end.
