In this superior sci-fi TV movie, also known as The Time Shifters, Casper Van Dien is Tom Merrick, a burned-out TV reporter now working for a supermarket tabloid, who discovers that a tourist from the future is visiting disasters in the past and the present, such as the Hindenburg, Titanic and Hurrican Hugo. Along with a researcher from the paper (Catherine Bell), he sets out to prevent disasters occurring, while chased by two FBI agents and two operatives from the future trying to set things 'right'. Despite a couple of massive holes in the plot, this is fairly intelligent time-travelling fare.
