Although it features plenty of action and a starring role for Jacqueline Bisset, this World War One adventure drama about the sinking of a ship used by the British to transport weapons, allegedly based on fact, suffers from wild historical inaccuracy and a series of subplots that have been lifted straight out of Titanic. If taken as a straight action adventure yarn it's entertaining enough, but even the special effects, which are poor, despite being provided by the same team as those for Titanic, fail to carry the film to its closing credits with any credibility.
