A fascinating film about a what-if 1976 reunion meeting between warring ex-Beatles and the most significant songwriters of the last millennium, John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Jared Harris, who played dead artist Andy Warhol in the biopic I Shot Andy Warhol, here takes on Lennon and he's excellent. Aidan Quinn is no less accurate as McCartney. Director Michael Lindsay Hogg should know a thing or two about the Beatles he was at the helm of their own 1970 documentary, Let It Be. You'll find yourself choking back tears at the end because we know as Paul leaves that John's tragic end is soon to come.
